First, let’s review how TripSurpriser works, what we offer, and what we do not offer.

1) HOW IT WORKS

You tell us your budget and your travel preferences, after which we book your 3 or 5 day trip based upon this information.
We send customers to cities and towns in India. Destinations will have resources and activities to keep you busy and enjoying.
Though we do not book any activities for you, we provide a curated itinerary of recommendations based upon your preferences, which you may or may not follow.

 
2) WE SEND YOU:

  • An envelope in the mail/courier and an email before you depart. Resist the urge – don’t open it until the day you depart! This envelope contains information about your SURPRISE destination, directions to your accommodation (hotel/bed & breakfast/Airbnb), additional useful information, etc.
  • An email before you depart, detailing the weather forecast for your SURPRISE destination, whether you should pack anything specific, and any luggage restrictions.
It will also tell you where to go and where to depart from. (i.e. Mumbai Domestic Airport @ 5:30PM)

 
3) WE OFFER TWO TRIPS VARIANTS:

  • 3-Day Getaway
    • Travel reservation
      • We book 3 types of transportation for the 3 day getaway:
        • Airplane (Spicejet, Jet airways, Indigo, etc.)
        • Train (IRCTC)
        • Bus (Redbus etc. – We won’t book a sketchy bus company, we promise!)
    • Accommodation reservation
    • Curated itineraries (Recommendations by us, based on your preferences communicated at the time of filling the form ), the cost for which is not included in the price, if you wish to take them you can pay for them at your surprise destination.
  •  

  • 5-Day Getaway
    • Travel reservation
      • We book 3 types of transportation for the 5 day getaway:
        • Airplane (Spicejet, Jet airways, Indigo, etc.)
        • Train (IRCTC)
        • Bus (Redbus etc. – We won’t book a sketchy bus company, we promise!)
    • Accommodation reservation
    • Curated itineraries (Recommendations by us, based on your preferences communicated at the time of filling the form), the cost for which is not included in the price, if you wish to take them you can pay for them at your surprise destination.

 
4) WE DO NOT:

  • *Book or pay for any of your activities (we just give you recommendations, based on your preferences)
  • Pay for your food/dining (All meals included) and drinks
  • Provide tour guides (Suggestions, yes)

 
5) PAYMENTS

You pay for your trip directly through www.TripSurpriser.in when you are checking out.
We use Paytm to process all payments, and have a no refund policy (Read our Refund Policy mentioned below) Paytm and TripSurpriser guarantee that your payment and personal information is protected.

 
6) PETS

We’re sure your pets are insanely cute, but you can’t bring them with you on this trip. No pets allowed, sorry.

 
7) TERMS & CONDITIONS AND PRIVACY POLICY

The purchase of any travel services offered by M/s Travel Suprisers Solutions Private Limited (hereinafter “Travel Surprisers or TripSurpriser”) constitutes a contractual arrangement between The Client (all travellers on the trip, hereinafter as “client”) and TripSurpriser, and represents the client’s acceptance of the TripSurpriser terms and conditions and privacy policy set out herein. Please ensure that the client reads carefully and understand these terms and conditions and our privacy policy prior to booking. Acceptance of these terms and conditions and privacy policy is a condition for booking and is the client’s acknowledgement that they have read, understood and agreed to be bound by them.

When the client books their trip, they accept the terms and conditions of “this booking” or “these bookings” on behalf of the entire party. It is the client’s sole responsibility to ensure that all of the details on the confirmations are correct.

We shall use your data ONLY for booking transportation tickets, accommodation, activities and other related services for your trip. TripSurpriser shall be allowed to contact you either through email, phone, etc. with reference to your trip or for other marketing purposes. TripSurpriser shall be allowed to share only your personal data (name, phone number, etc.) for marketing purposes with marketing agencies.

 
8) TRIP DESTINATION

TripSurpriser chooses where you go based on your budget, preferences, and travel dates. Have an open mind, get ready to explore, and we’re sure you’ll love where you end up!! It is after all, A SURPRISE trip!!

By agreeing to these terms and conditions and the privacy policy, you give TripSurpriser permission to select the destination for your trip. TripSurpriser cannot be held liable if you are unhappy with your destination, and we will not offer refunds under these circumstances. We select your destination city based upon your survey responses, budget, and available tickets and accommodations given your travel dates. By paying for our services, you agree to relinquish control over your destination.

 
9) TRAVEL DETAILS

Name Changes

PLEASE, please make sure your name matches your governmental ID (Passport, State ID, or Driver’s License).

All passenger details must be exactly as per your government issued ID (Passport, State ID, or Driver’s License). Your booking will be made under this name and changes to name details are not allowed by many airlines and other service providers. If you are planning on changing your name, please contact TripSurpriser as soon as possible.

Ticket Changes 

Need to change your travel dates/times? Contact us as soon as possible if something comes up.

Day of Travel 

We will tell you exactly when and where you need to be to catch your flight, bus, or train. PLEASE don’t be late. If you have any questions about your reservation, please get in touch with us via email We will give you as much information as possible without ruining the SURPRISE.

Failure to check-in for your flight, bus, or train at the appropriate time may result in the airline denying you boarding and TripSurpriser will NOT be issuing a refund.

Missed Travel 

If you miss your travel, there’s not much we can do. We’ll give you all the information you need to get there with plenty of time, after which it will be your responsibility to reach the mentioned SURPRISE destination.

If you fail to check-in on time for a confirmed reservation, the airline, bus, or train carrier may register you as a “no-show,” which could result in extra charges and/or your whole travel itinerary being cancelled and/or render your ticket void. TripSurpriser is not responsible for missed travel as a result of customer error.

Cancelled Travel 

If you need to cancel your trip, contact us ASAP. (Read our refund policy for further clarity).

Ticket Delivery 

Triple check your email address!! This is how we’re sending you, your tickets and all important information. You’ll be receiving an envelope in the mail before you leave, so double check your mailing address, too.

Luggage Restrictions 

We will let you know exactly how to pack – what checked bags you’re allowed, etc. If you’re a heavy packer, any extra fees are your responsibility.

TripSurpriser services as an agent on behalf of airline, bus, and train carriers (Third Party Suppliers). Depending on your mode of transportation and transportation company, we’ll tell you exactly what you are getting prior to departure (one checked bag, only carry-on baggage, etc.) TripSurpriser has no responsibility for products or services provided by any Third Party Suppliers that you purchase separately (extra checked bags, food or drinks on flight, etc.). We give and make no warranty or representation regarding the services or products supplied by Third Party Suppliers. Luggage and Baggage policies vary from carrier to carrier. Prior to departure, you will be alerted by TripSurpriser of any size and weight restrictions to which you must adhere. Should your baggage not comply with these restrictions, you will incur all additional charges.

Air Transportation Safety Compliance 

Don’t bring any weapons on the plane. Please.

Important airline ticket terms and conditions and other important notices apply to air transportation. Law forbids the carriage of hazardous materials aboard aircraft in your luggage or on your person. Hazardous materials include explosives, compressed gases, flammable liquids and solids, oxidizers, poisons, corrosives and radioactive materials. Examples: paints, lighter fluid, fireworks, tear gases, oxygen bottles, and radio-pharmaceuticals. For further information contact your airline representative. Violation of these restrictions will result in imprisonment and financial penalties. TripSurpriser will not be held liable for transgressions against air transportation requirements.

Accommodation Compliance 

Follow the rules, please. They have been put in place for a reason. Don’t smoke, don’t break anything, and don’t steal. If you get kicked out, or charged for anything, we can’t help you there.

Note that your payment through TripSurpriser covers your reservation fees. All additional fees incurred through incidentals (room service, late check-out, etc.) are to be paid by the customer. You may be asked to provide a credit or debit card at the time of check-in. The hotel, bed & breakfast, or other accommodation may reserve the right to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the accommodation during your stay, or for any items that are missing upon departure. Incidentals and rates will vary by accommodation booking.

Customers are required to comply with all rules and regulations of the booked accommodation. Failure to do so may result in fees or expulsion from the hotel or bed & breakfast. TripSurpriser will not be held liable for any additional fees incurred, or legal proceedings between the customer and accommodation.

Important Note – Conditions Beyond Our Control 

There are some things that even we can’t control (natural disasters, food poisoning, etc.). If something goes seriously wrong, we can’t promise any refunds. As always, just give us a call and we’ll see what we can do.
If there is an extreme weather situation, we’ll help you get sorted out and make sure you have a plan to get back home, but will not cover the additional expenses.

Compensation will not apply if a significant change is made for reasons beyond our control. These include: war, threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, health risks, changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of flights by an airline or alteration of the airline or aircraft type; closed or congested airports or ports; hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, act of government or public authorities or other circumstances.

TripSurpriser cannot accept liability or responsibility for any airline or supplier bankruptcy or insolvency and the failure to provide any services that may follow.

Liability Statement 

We’ve done our absolute best to make sure your accommodation and travel arrangements are top-notch. If you think they’re sub-par, let us know. Unfortunately, there are some things that are simply out of our control.

TripSurpriser acts as an agent for independent travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels and other independent suppliers to provide you with the services you purchase; and is represented in destination by companies organized and existing in that destination, including providers of transportation and excursions. We have taken all reasonable steps to ensure that proper arrangements have been made for your vacation. However, we do not accept and expressly disclaim any liability for the actions or omissions of these independent suppliers. If you find you have any dispute with such persons, however, we will give you as much reasonable help as we can in resolving a dispute.

You understand and agree that TripSurpriser shall not be liable for any loss, injury, expense or damage to persons or property resulting, directly or indirectly, from the acts or omissions of these independent travel suppliers, including but not limited to delays, over bookings, cancellation of services, cessation of operations, accidents, failures of equipment, or changes in fares, itineraries or schedules.

TripSurpriser cannot control and will not be responsible for bodily injury, property or other damage or loss caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to flight delays, airline turbulence, transportation accidents, war, terrorism, weather, quarantine, sickness, government restrictions, regulations or actions, mechanical breakdowns, fires, earthquakes, floods, climatic aberrations, acts of, civil unrest, strikes, riots, theft, disease or accidents, or failures related to the public internet, telecommunications lines or facilities, or third party technology systems, other unforeseen circumstances, or any other cause beyond our control, or including your physical, medical or mental disabilities, your failure to obtain valid travel documents or your failure to follow travel instructions. Under no circumstances shall TripSurpriser be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages arising from the foregoing.

TripSurpriser, the airlines, bus, and train providers issue tickets and/or electronic documents covering transportation and hotel/accommodations. Neither TripSurpriser nor these suppliers, or their respective subagents, shall be held liable for loss or damage to property or injury of person caused by reason of any act, omission, defect or negligence by any other hotel agency, transportation company or party providing such services or facilities.

All parties concerned are not liable for any claim arising out of or in connection with carriage or other services or features otherwise performed or occurring in connection with this package, except as provided in the conditions of carriage for the transportation company and the passenger tickets issued in conjunction with this package. TripSurpriser is not responsible under any circumstances for any injury or damages you may suffer in connection with your air or ground transportation.

 
10) PAYMENTS, REFUNDS & RISK

Please note that any confirmed booking is subject to your credit or debit card approval for the transaction.

Refunds 

We don’t provide any refunds.

Safety & Personal Risk 

TripSurpriser is not responsible for any injuries and damages that you may incur during the course of your trip, including but not limited to: injury or theft during travel by train, aircraft, bus or other means of transportation; forces of nature; political unrest; acts of lawlessness or terrorism; and accident or illness. By agreeing to participate in a TripSurpriser trip you agree that you will hold TripSurpriser harmless regarding any provision of medical care or the adequacy of any care rendered. TripSurpriser is not responsible for such risks and dangers that may arise beyond our control.

By agreeing to these terms & conditions, you accept these risks and dangers and agree to hold TripSurpriser harmless for such.

 
11) GIFT CARDS & GIFT CARD REFUNDS

Gift cards are valid for one year after the purchase date.

 
12) MEDIA

The unauthorized use of any images on www.TripSurpriser.in is forbidden. The images used in the testimonial section of our website are the sole property of the traveller, and may not be used by third parties without written consent from traveller.

You must contact info@TripSurpriser.in directly for any media inquiries, use of images or text. Failure to do so may result in legal action.

 
13) NOTES

*Sometimes, if there is excess room in your budget, we might be able to purchase trip add-ons (i.e. activities, dining, etc.) that we think you’ll enjoy based on your selected preferences at the time of filling our form.
